Our story
How we got here.
2006
We started with VoIP when it was still new.
Real Time Networks was founded in 2006 to sell and install Voice over IP telephone systems from ShoreTel. We loved the intuitive design of the platform, and because VoIP was still new, customers needed competent help to get their systems installed and keep them working.
Two decades in
Good voice is hard. Coordinating everyone around it is harder.
Over two decades we built up the number of customers we support to around 6,000 user seats — from straightforward deployments to advanced contact centers with IVR and deep integrations into other business systems. Along the way we learned that making voice systems work well is one of the hardest jobs in IT, and we found ourselves routinely leading the coordination across other vendors on behalf of our customers.

Today we have access to 200+ product providers across voice, data, connectivity, security, AI, and adjacent categories. Depending on your project, our role might be a direct vendor, a specification and procurement partner, or a full outsourced IT team. We can be your whole IT team, or just help.
How we work
Fully cloud-based since before it was cool.
We converted to a fully cloud-based company well before the 2019 pandemic, with every team member working from home. This lets us attract and retain specialists who choose to live where they want and still support customers anywhere in the world. Don't be surprised if you catch us on a ski slope, a beach, a motorcycle, or a mountain trail while we're running your install — we know how to use this technology to liberate ourselves, and we'd like to show you how it can liberate you too.
When it really matters
An aviation capability, because remote still means on-site sometimes.
For customers with important locations in remote places, our aviation capability means a qualified system engineer can be on-site within four hours with a little preplanning. It's not something every telecom vendor offers.

It is impossible to find one vendor who is the best at everything from VoIP to infrastructure to security to storage. The best results require multiple vendors working professionally together, and we're comfortable in that role.
Your implementation has to be flawless
We spend time up front to understand how you want to present yourself to your customers, and we use state-of-the-art testing and planning tools to make sure the technology reflects those intentions.
We focus on reducing your total cost of ownership
Whether that's a site-based system, a cloud-based system, or a hybrid, our goal is the lowest TCO that still meets your business needs — not the product that earns us the biggest commission.

Tim started RTN selling and installing ShoreTel VoIP systems back when VoIP was still novel and businesses needed real help making it work. Two decades later, he runs a fully distributed team that spans voice, data, connectivity, security, and now AI — and still personally answers the phone on the new-business line.
